A new strike is hitting the UK healthcare system

Some 25,000 ambulance workers in England and Wales launched a new strike demand a salary increases by record inflation hitting the country, as reported by the Sky News network.

“Approximately 25,000 ambulance workers in England and Wales will strike in a dispute with the government over wages,” the outlet reported.

The strike was called off after UK Health Secretary Stephen Barclay’s negotiations with union representatives broke down on 9 January.
