The name of the new rollercoaster is revealed: the UK’s tallest and fastest

British amusement park Thorpe Park has announced the name of its new roller coaster. The UK’s tallest and fastest rollercoaster will open there in 2024. Until now, the working title Project Exodus is still in use. Today the final title was released: Hyperia.

The subtitle is Find Your Courage. Hyperia is a hypercoaster type attraction built by German manufacturer Mack Rides. This is Mack’s first hypercoaster in Europe, after examples opened in China, Australia and Turkey in recent years.

A British theme park teases its competitors with a joke about roller coaster records

With a height of no less than 72 meters, Hyperia will be one of the highest roller coasters on this continent. Only five coasters are taller. The top speed is around 130 kilometers per hour. This places Hyperia in the top five fastest roller coasters in Europe.

“Once you experience Hyperia, you will never experience fear again”Thorpe Park promises. “We’re taking the thrill to a very high level.” The new promotional video shows the progress of the work. An accompanying storyline will launch soon, about the fearless goddess Hyperia.
