Prince Harry and Meghan surprised several young people by calling them personally. They are the first young generation to receive the Responsible Technology Youth Power Fund subsidy and thereby work to improve the digital world. The young people were shocked when they spoke to the couple, as can be seen in a video.
Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Foundation is part of the Responsible Technology Youth Power Fund, an initiative committed to youth and organizations having a positive impact on the future of responsible technology. The fund has raised a total of $2 million, which will be distributed to public charities committed to an inclusive and fair world of technology.
Tazin Khan Norelius, founder and CEO of Cyber Collective, told PEOPLE that he was very pleased with the pair’s call. “The reason for establishing this organization was, among other things, because my father was a victim of hacking. “When I shared the story with the couple, they were very touched,” said Norelius. During the conversation, Meghan even asked Tazin to convey a message to her father who was the inspiration for the organization. “He said, ‘send my regards to Baba’. That’s really sweet.”
The video also shows a telephone conversation between Prince Harry and Sneha Revanur of Encode Justice. This is an organization that provides information about artificial intelligence, among other things. Harry briefly referred to their children: Archie (4 years) and Lilibet (2 years). “Thank you for everything you do. Our children are especially grateful,” said Harry. Meghan added with a laugh: “They don’t know yet, but they will.”
