Samsung is bringing DIY phone repair to Europe – including the Netherlands and Belgium. These developments are fully in line with the latest developments.
Samsung is bringing its own repair program to the Netherlands and Belgium
A few weeks ago, we predicted that Samsung would soon be Self improvement the program – already active in the US and South Korea – will also be brought to Europe. The newly adopted European Directive makes this possible move actually unavoidable. And if you’re talking about the devil, it’s there: the official confirmation is none other than Samsung itself.
First Self improvement pages can now be found in a number of European countries. Samsung is working with companies in the Netherlands and Belgium 2Services.
Thanks to these do-it-yourself repair programs, you can do some basic repairs yourself. This currently concerns the screens, backs and USB ports of the phones on the Galaxy S20, S21 and Galaxy S22 series. You can also contact your Galaxy Book Pro repair program.
Through this new program you can receive official spare parts, necessary tools and instructional materials. This makes it easy to carry out such repairs at home comfortably. Plus, you save – sometimes scathing – repair costs.
As far as we know, custom apps are also part of the program. Through this Self improvement app, you’ll soon be able to get things ready, watch step-by-step plans and instructional videos, and ask for support.
To get started with this program, look at Samsung Self improvement pages in Holland HERE, or in Belgium HERE. At the time of writing, you were already able to search for kits and parts – but parts and toolkits don’t appear to be available yet.
In which other countries?
Even though the partners come from two countries, the do-it-yourself program originally launched in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Spain, Sweden and the UK.
It is hoped that over time more tools will be added to the program, and hopefully more improvements. Likewise, changing the battery – the spearhead of recent EU plans – should be achievable, especially in devices this year, such as the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy A54.
