The actor was in Atlanta filming a new Netflix comedy with Cameron Diaz.
Jamie Foxx hospitalized in Atlanta after a “medical complications” his family disclosed on Wednesday evening.
“We would like to share that my dad, Jamie Foxx, had medical complications yesterday”Foxx’s daughter posted, Corin Fox, in a statement on Instagram. “Fortunately, due to the swift action and great care, he is already in the recovery process. We know how loved he is and we appreciate your prayers. The family requests privacy at this time.”
The nature of the medical complications was not disclosed. portal TMZ reported that it happened Tuesday morning local time, which is when Foxx was “taken to the hospital” for the first time.
Foxx is in Atlanta shooting a new comedy Netflix with Cameron Diaz, “Back in action”. Directed by the director of “I want to kill my boss”, seth gordonalso starring Glen Closepriest of “Pocket of Fleas”, Andrew Scottand comedians Jamie Demetriou. Díaz is “coming out of retirement” for the project, his first in nearly a decade.
Although Gordon has been reluctant to reveal the film’s plot, footage leaked from the Atlanta set earlier this week shows Foxx, Diaz and Close on the field cheering for the women’s soccer team. Foxx was wearing what appeared to be a coach jacket with “Dragon” written on it and a whistle around his neck.
Last month, the film wrapped production in England, where in between stunts, audiences saw an explosion in the River Thames.
