70% of professionals think they prefer hybrid work for various reasons

A recent study about IWG, the world’s largest provider of hybrid workspaces, has revealed that hybrid work This not only has a positive impact on the well-being of professionals, but also on their eating habits. The analysis, which surveyed more than 2,000 workers from across Europe, found that 70% of professionals believe hybrid work gives them enough time to prepare a healthy breakfast every day. According to the survey results, these workers also eat more fresh fruit and vegetables (46% and 44%, respectively), and one in five (20%) say they eat more fish. They also reported that the time saved by reducing commuting has contributed to various health benefits, including weight loss, better cooking habits, better mental health, and increased hours of sleep.

According to the study, a professional working in a hybrid format trains an average of 4.7 hours a week, compared to an average of 3.4 hours before the pandemic, into strength training, running and walking. , the most common form of exercise. They also slept more, and spent more time in bed in the morning, which added up to an extra 71 hours (nearly three days) of sleep per year.

The study concluded that a quarter of workers (27%) say they have lost weight since the start of the pandemic, thanks to the possibility that hybrid work offers them to exercise more, sleep better and eat healthier. Two in five respondents (42%) had lost between 5 and 9.9 kg, while an overwhelming 23% had lost more than 10 kg. The biggest drivers of this weight loss are increased free time to exercise (65%) and prepare healthy meals (54%).
