We were able to follow Chief Inspector Gamache on his search for the killer in ‘Three Pines’, but sadly it is now coming to an end.
On social media, the writer, series producer and one of the actresses confirmed the news. Therefore, Inspector Armand Gamache will not return to the fictional village ‘Three Pines’ where the series takes place.
Bad news
“We finally heard from Amazon Prime. There won’t be a second season of Three Pines,” said the writer on Facebook.
“Despite the number 1 series in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and a number of other countries, and reaching the top 10 in all countries in which it is broadcast, Amazon has decided to cancel it,” he continued.
Alfred Moline
Lead actor Alfred Molina said the following: “Unfortunately, we will not be returning with a second season. Personal disappointment aside, I am proud of what we have accomplished and honored to be part of the incredible creative team that has given everything to bring Louise’s books to screen.”
Reason for cancellation
The producers at Girolamo wrote on Instagram “I know there is a lot of disappointment that the show is not returning and I am sad for the amazing cast, crew and fans.”
Then he added Left Bank Pictures, Sony Pictures and Amazon Studios “All wanted to bring the show back, but failed to reach a mutually beneficial agreement.”
Unfortunately, we won’t be seeing the inspector again for season two. But if you really can’t miss Gamache’s adventures, read one of Penny’s eighteen books or watch its first season at Main Videos.
