Formula 1 has denied rumors of the London Grand Prix

Earlier this week, it was reported that the British capital, London, is currently in talks with Formula 1 to host a road circuit. A British collective is said to have presented a map of a potential street circuit in the city’s harbor of millions, after which the fire spread rapidly. However, this news has now been firmly denied by the Formula 1 standings.

Now that Formula 1 is booming, more and more companies, organizations and host countries are seeing the benefits of being involved at the pinnacle of motorsport. So did the British capital, London, or at least the rumor was thrown out into the world earlier this week.

A collective has presented a road circuit map in the city of millions, giving rise to rumors that the top of Formula 1 is currently busy discussing a second race in England. London, which is currently also hosting the E-Prix, has drawn up a complete plan to realize sports and entertainment facilities in the port area. The concept is also reported to have the capability to function as a Formula 1 circuit.

In recent years, Formula 1 has often teased hosting a Grand Prix in the metropolis, but so far these ambitious plans have never materialized. This includes this latest concept, which has now been brought up by Formula 1 owner FOM.

For now, Britain will have to be content with just one Grand Prix, namely at the legendary Silverstone circuit. The Formula 1 Circus will travel to the oldest race on the calendar over the weekend of July 7-9.
