London, Mar 14 (EFE).- The unemployment rate in the UK remained at 3.7% between November 2022 and January 2023, the same as the previous quarter, the Office for National Statistics reported on Tuesday (ONS).

According to the agency, the employment rate increased in the period to 75.7%, compared to the previous 75.6%, while the inactivity rate increased to 21.3%, compared to 21.4% in the previous period.

The ONS director of economic statistics, Darren Morgan, noted on Tuesday that there had been a slight increase in employment, especially among part-timers.

“Detailed figures from our business survey show a record number of jobs in several sectors, including law and accounting firms, healthcare, pubs and restaurants. In addition, the number of people out of work or looking for work fell overall,” he added. .

According to the management, workers’ real wages continue to fall due to rising living costs.
