The three new hubs are located in Munich (Germany), Bologna (Italy) and Madrid (Spain). This location was chosen in part because of the availability of professionals with digital technical expertise. Munich is one of the leading technology centers in Europe, but the technology centers in Spain and Italy are also the locations of important and developing technology centers in Europe.
The establishment of these three new hubs will complement JLR’s existing technology hubs in Portland (United States), Budapest (Hungary), Shannon (Ireland), Shanghai (China), Bengaluru (India) and Manchester (United Kingdom). Collectively, the hub employs more than 1,100 technicians, who are part of JLR’s global engineering team of nearly 9,000 people. Nine Jaguar Land Rover technology hubs will provide global data and services for the Advanced Product Creation Center in Gaydon, UK. That’s where Jaguar Land Rover created the next generation of modern luxury cars.
With the establishment of three new technical hubs, Jaguar Land Rover underscores a multi-year partnership with NVIDIA, active in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and accelerated digitization. In this partnership, JLR engineers are developing and delivering the next generation of automated driving systems, digital services and customer experiences. In new technology hubs, teams work with a wealth of expertise in autonomous technologies, such as systems and functions, software, hardware, and verification and validation.
