They are offering a million donation to the British Prime Minister if he goes vegan

The Generation Vegan (GenV) organization is challenging British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to go vegan for a month in exchange for a £1 million donation to a charity of his choice.

The offer expires on January 31 and has previously been made to Pope Francis and former US President Donald Trump.

The GenV campaign seeks to demonstrate livestock’s impact on climate, pollution, deforestation, loss of biodiversity, the potential for pandemics, antibiotic resistance, public health, and the lives of billions of animals, both livestock and wild, said a statement.

Naomi Hallum, CEO of GenV, said the prime minister is committed to protecting the country’s future.

Now, we’re asking you to turn your words into action, and be plant-based for at least a month.

He called on the politician to “do what he says and show how satisfying, healthy and enjoyable” the plant-based diet can be.

– Animal agriculture accounts for up to 85% of agricultural land, but provides only 32% of our calories and less than half of our protein.

-To feed the same number of people on a plant-based diet, only one-sixth of the land is needed.

-Agriculture is responsible for at least 16.5% of all 3 greenhouse gas emissions produced by humans.

-If we all ate plant-based products, our food-related emissions would be reduced by 70%.
Adopting a plant-based diet is associated with a lower risk of death and cardiovascular disease.

-According to a new study, eating plant-based foods reduces the risk of postmenopausal breast cancer by 18%, prostate cancer by 31%, colorectal cancer in men by 43% and developing all types of cancer by 14%.

-In a recent survey, 64% of farmers said they would consider leaving the farm altogether, provided they had financial support.
