The album, which dates back to 1996, is considered “a masterpiece”. It reached verified platinum in 22 countries, an achievement that has not been surpassed to this day. Now it’s back with superior quality audio and expanded artwork.

1996’s “Older” is described as a “masterpiece”. It produced six UK top 3 singles and reached the top of the charts, where it stayed for three consecutive weeks, spending 35 weeks in the top 10 overall.

The album was a huge commercial success worldwide, reaching 6x platinum in the UK, as well as verified platinum in 22 other countries, an achievement unrivaled to this day.

Sony Music and George Michael Entertainment present a remake featuring the album’s title track, freshly mastered from the original cassette and designed for superior audio quality with enlarged artwork.

The set also includes ‘Upper’ and Dan Davies essays The Story of Older, which tells the story behind the album with contributions from key people who helped make the record, plus rare and previously unseen photos.
