Newtone is the new brand name of accounting and consulting firms HLB Witlox Van den Boomen, Koenen en Co and PKF Wallast, which merged last year.

In September last year it was announced that PKF Wallast was joining the combination of HLB Witlox and Koenen. The name change was announced at that time. Several months earlier, HLB and Koenen had reached an agreement on their merger, with the help of private equity arm Avedon Capital Partners.

Together, the three offices now have a turnover of 150 million euros, 1,100 employees and thirteen branches. This places Newtone in the top 10 Dutch accounting firms. HLB Witlox was still ranked 13th in the previous edition of the renowned AV Top 50 (November 2023). rankingKoenen is ranked 25th and PKF Wallast is ranked 27th.

Easier to recognize

According to CEO Stephan Seijkens, Newtone’s ambition is to become “the leading consulting and accounting company for entrepreneurship in the Netherlands”. The new brand name and identity should contribute to this and ensure greater recognition of the integrated organization.

Newtone remains part of Witlox’s international HLB network, which has more than a thousand offices in 157 countries and a global number 8 position.

Newtone customers will be notified personally of the name change. The new brand will also be launched with a national media campaign.
