Every week we list for you which hits are selling well overseas. This week we look at Australia, Germany and Belgium.

Australia
UNDER THE INFLUENCE – Chris Brown
The same country as the UK that has a new head of state in the form of King Charles III has Nicki Minaj at number 1 with Super Freaky Girl. But way down the Australian charts, we find another song that stands out: Under The Influence by Chris Brown. The song is on the deluxe version of his 2019 album, Indigo, which was released this year. Thanks to TikTok, the song has had a huge resurgence and is topping the charts worldwide. In the UK, for example, it has risen from 21 to 14 and in New Zealand it has reached number three. In the Netherlands, Under The Influence is also starting to gain traction on streaming services. This could mean the American singer reaches the Dutch Top 40 for the first time since 2015, when Fun (with Pitbull) reached number 9.

German
NIGHT WATCH – Miksu / Macloud & makko
One of the songs that is booming in Germany is Nachts Wach by Miksu and Macloud and makko. Behind Miksu is Essen-born producer Joshua Allerly. He now has 4 number 1 hits in our eastern neighbor and this is partly due to his collaborations with Germany’s most popular hip-hop artists. He regularly enters the studio with Apache 207, Sido, KC Rebel and Summer Cem. Nachts Wach is also a collaboration with two hip-hop descendants. Macloud is a 33-year-old rapper and producer who also comes from Essen and has reached number 1 three times with Miksu. makko (not capitalized) is from Berlin and is actually called Christoph Makowski. By posting skate videos on Instagram, he got into the German hip-hop scene in 2014. Since then he has released several songs, but is currently without a label. Makko is also the vocalist of his group Bolo Boys.

Belgium
SAY MY NAME – Berre
Berre Vandenbussche is currently having a crazy year in Belgium. He broke into TikTok, where he posted his cover videos online. He recorded his music in the basement, because the rest of the house was too busy. His deep voice made a big impression and his videos have been viewed millions of times. This led to a contract with Universal and the former student released his first single in the spring. Say My Name previously reached number three on the Belgian Ultratop 50 and is now at number 9. Attentive readers may also know Berre from the Flemish version of The Voice Kids, which the singer participated in 10 years ago.
