HELMOND – Everything indicates that Helmond Sport will play to a sold out stadium on Friday night for the first time in nineteen years. Only approximately 100 tickets are available for the derby against FC Eindhoven on Thursday around midday.
Therefore, the last home game of the season was a memorable one for Helmond Sport. Due to a full house, that possibility last happened in 2005 in the play-off final against Sparta (1-2). After that, De Braak almost sold out several times, but never completely.

What also makes this match special is that the match against Eindhoven is about the liberation of Helmond, eighty years ago. Therefore, Helmond players play in special uniforms memory poppies (memorial poppies) on it. That poppy used in England as a tribute to fallen soldiers.
The stadium opens at 18:30. DJ Taa started his set at 19.25. England’s Ian Chapman started. This FC Burnley fan (who is friends with Helmond Sport) walked barefoot from Schiphol to Helmond to raise money for charity.
