7th Great Place Awards Nominations

Starting from the Louvre in Abu Dhabi, the FC Porto Museum in Portugal to the Louis Vuitton Fondation in France. In the Netherlands, the Keukenhof, the Van Gogh Museum and the Mauritshuis are among the nominees, in addition to some surprising ‘hidden gems’. The Remarkable Venue Awards (RVAs) recognize outstanding museums, attractions and activities in seven categories in eight countries. Apart from the Netherlands, there are also the United Kingdom, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, France, Italy, Portugal and Spain.

Five of the seven categories were nominated based on 1.6 million customer reviews on Dutch online ticketing platform Tiqets. The final winner of the audience award will be determined through a round of voting that will take place between September 18 and October 3. Dutch attractions have to compete with popular attractions such as Windsor Castle, Disneyland Paris, or the famous Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.

Two new categories
This year, two new categories were introduced: Best Family Experience and Best Activity. The Best Family Experience category honors zoos, aquariums, amusement parks, amusement parks and specialty water parks that offer unforgettable experiences for families in particular. The Best Activities category focuses on great tours & sights, cruises, entertainment, culinary experiences, attractions and other activities. All Dutch nominees:
