What happened to Athos and Tango?

In June 2021, dgar Martínez, trainer of Athos and Tango, filed a complaint with state authorities over the poisoning of the dogs. According to the caretaker, the puppies were at home when the incident occurred.

Athos is a dog certified by the International Search and Rescue Dog Organization (IRO), and is an accredited USAR specialist from the Red Cross, while Tango is part of the Querétaro state rescue dog team.
