Players having trouble transferring their Far Cry 6 PS4 game to PS5

Some gamers, especially in the UK, are reporting that the disc version of PS4 Far Cry 6 to the new PS5 cannot be transferred. This is a very annoying problem. When you finally receive your PS5, of course you will immediately want to test your latest games on it. This is currently not possible due to current issues.

What is the cause of the problem?

The cause of the problem is known. The Russian version of the game was allegedly accidentally sent to players in the United Kingdom. This isn’t a problem in terms of gameplay itself, but it does prevent players from using programs where PS4 games can be updated to PS5 games for free.

This isn’t the first time there have been issues with Ubisoft games having to be ported to the new PS5. In December, there were also issues surrounding the Assassin’s Creed game Valhalla. This issue has been resolved, but it took a while for the patch to arrive. Hopefully the current problems can be resolved soon.

Complex solutions must have been found. Players must change regions for the update to take effect. You will lose progress and access to DLC through this solution. Below in the tweet is a video showing how to do this:
