Nivelli’s War Nominated | Stage Debut Awards
Cahoots NI and Lyric Theatre Belfast Co-Production Nivelli’s War nominated in the ‘Best Actor in a play’ category at The Stage Debut Awards
Emerging actor Jack Archer, who starred as young evacuee Ernst in spellbinding family drama Nivelli’s War, a Cahoots NI and Lyric Theatre Belfast co-production, has been nominated in the ‘Best Actor in a play’ category at The Stage Debut Awards.
Launched earlier this year, the Awards are the only UK awards that specifically recognise breakthrough theatre talent, celebrating emerging actors and creatives from around the country.
Nivelli’s War, written by Charles Way, directed by Paul Bosco Mc Eneaney with music by Garth McConaghie is based on the moving true story of a Holocaust survivor.
Following its run in The Lyric Theatre Belfast in early 2017, Nivelli’s War had its Broadway debut in The New Victory Theater, New York City’s premier performing arts venue devoted to children and families, on 42nd Street in the iconic Times Square.
Nominated alongside the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama graduate are TJ Jones for The Seven Acts of Mercy at the Swan Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon, Kenneth Omole for Assata Taught Me at the Gate Theatre, London and Abraham Popoola for Othello at Tobacco Factory, Bristol.
The winners will be decided by The Stage Debut Awards judging panel and will be announced at a ceremony in London’s West End on 17 September.
