Monthly house/disco/synth party HOtel MOtel is thrilled to announce that superstar DJ KDA will be checking in to BOOMBOX this Friday to help celebrate the club night’s 6th birthday
From Number one in the charts with Katie B and Tinie Tempah, to ruling the Underground with recent smash “Hate Me”, KDA is one of the most in-demand DJs and biggest names in dance music right now. As part of the BBC Music’s Biggest Weekend Fringe, KDA will be bringing his sublime beats to Belfast, just in time for HOtel MOtel’s 6th birthday celebrations on Friday 25 May. To add to the festivities, Biggest Weekend ticket holders can carry on the party at BOOMBOX with £1 off admission on the door.
Since emerging from the east London club scene a decade ago, KDA has made a name for himself internationally, remixing the likes of Roisin Murphy, Sia feat. Kendrick Lamar, London Grammar, Moby, Metronomy ft Robyn, CHVRCHES, Fatboy Slim, Kylie Minogue and more.
He landed a debut number one single in 2015 with ‘Turn The Music Louder’, a vocal version by Tinie Tempah and Katy B of his club track ‘Rumble’, and famously sent a cardboard cut-out of himself to appear on that year’s Xmas Top of the Pops!
More recently his devastatingly powerful track “Hate Me” (featuring poet Patrick Cash) has been heralded as the freshest sounding British house music record for over a decade.
Aaron Eakin of BOOMBOX said he was thrilled to land such a huge name for the 6th Birthday of HOtel MOtel
“We’ve always attempted to seek out the most exciting guest DJs to come and play for us at HOtel MOtel over the past 6 years, including Ana Matronic & Jake Shears from the Scissor Sisters, Hercules & Love Affair and Horse Meat Disco. KDA is one of the most talked-about DJs and producers in dance music right now. We’re in for an absolute treat on Friday. The fact it’s also BBC Music’s Biggest Weekend is just the icing on the birthday cake!”
