WIN A PAIR OF TICKETS TO NO SURRENDER AT EASTSIDE ARTS FESTIVAL

CultureHUB has teamed up with EastSide Arts Festival (03-13 August) to offer one lucky follower the chance to win a pair of tickets to No Surrender, the story of one of our finest writer’s, Robert Harbinson, at Strand Arts Centre on 03 & 04 August (tickets £12/£14).

Adapted and performed by Sam McCready and directed by Joan McCready, No Surrender is the story of Robert Harbinson. Born into a Protestant family in Dee Street, Robert Harbinson is one of our finest writers. Despite the critical success of No Surrender and other volumes of autobiography, all of them mesmerising evocations of life in Ulster during the 1930s and early 40s, Harbinson has largely fallen off the radar. A born storyteller, funny and moving by turn, he celebrates the Orange culture but is keenly aware of his Catholic neighbours, an awareness that, in this adaptation, leads to a powerful epiphany. Prepare to be entertained. For further information on EastSide Arts Festival visit www.eastsidearts.net
